Featured Project: UK’s Wedgetail AEW Mk1 Aircraft Conversion
Boeing has selected STS Aviation Services, along with our Birmingham site, for the conversion of the United Kingdom’s fleet of five Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning (AEW) Mk1 aircraft. This project involves transforming commercial 737 Next Generation airliners into modern airborne battle management aircraft, creating over 100 highly skilled jobs in the process. This includes 90 positions with STS Aviation Services and 30 more with Boeing, adding to the existing Boeing workforce on the Wedgetail program across the UK.
