STS Aviation Group Powers Up for the 2019 WTUI Conference!

From March 17th – 20th, STS Aviation Group will be returning to Las Vegas where we are once again set to exhibit at the 2019 Western Turbine Users International (WTUI) Conference. Key members from STS Component Solutions will be on site and available to discuss all of your company’s ground power and turbine engine service and support requirements. Taking place at the South Point Hotel and Casino, the 2019 WTUI Conference program consists of technical breakout sessions and presentations focused on the GE LM2500, LM5000, LM6000, and LMS100 engine lines and services related to the ground power industry. The WTUI organization was founded in 1990 and has approximately 80 power plant facilities and represents over 100 suppliers.

This dynamic event brings together key professionals and experts of the ground power industry to discuss critical issues and work towards solutions that surround the operating process of gas turbine fired power plants. During this year’s conference you can expect product and service displays from industry suppliers and OEMs, presentations on environmental, operational and maintenance information and experience to improve reliability and economic viability of GE LM series power facilities, as well as casual networking opportunities with your peers that include the WTUI conference golf tournament, bowling tournament, Hoover Dam Power Plant Tour and the always exciting Monday night reception!

From April 10th – 12th, STS Aviation Group will be traveling to Orlando and is set to exhibit at MRO Americas. Two-Day NDT Certification Classes Kicking off in Melbourne, Florida

We provide classroom training using highly knowledgeable ASNT Level III instructors to give you the skills needed  to become a great non-destructive inspector.

We offer training in the most sought after inspection methods including visual, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiography and eddy current.  STS NDT is also proud to announce that we are now offering an approved 40-hour Radiation Safety Course.  This course is required by everyone that’s interested in becoming an industrial radiographer.

Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT I)

Dates: April 2 – 3, 2018

Location: 100 Aerospace Drive, Unit 6 – Melbourne, FL 32901

Cost: $400

Summary: PT is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics).

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT I)

Dates: April 4 – 5, 2018

Location: 100 Aerospace Drive, Unit 6 – Melbourne, FL 32901

Cost: $400

Summary: MT is a non-destructive testing (NDT) process for detecting surface and shallow subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys.
