The Dubai Airshow began back in 1986 as Arab Air. Since then the show has grown and evolved to become one of the largest and most significant aerospace events in the world. The Dubai Airshow has helped lead this change by creating an excellent exhibition displaying the latest and greatest in military, general and commercial aviation. The 2017 event was named the largest show ever with 1,200 exhibitors from 63 countries, over 79,380 trade visitors, 159 Aircraft on display, 1,603 international and regional media and an order book of $113.8 billion, according to the event’s webpage.

STS is excited to once again exhibit at this prestigious conference within the Gulf region of the Middle East and put our many unique products and service offerings on display. STS Aviation Group Readies for the MARPA Annual Conference!

From November 5 – 6, STS Aviation Group will be heading to sunny San Diego, California for the 2019 MARPA Conference. Since 2001, MARPA has hosted annual conferences that bring together experts and leaders within the PMA industry and regulatory field to address key issues facing the modification and replacement parts arena.

STS Aviation Group Hires Michael John Adams to Spearhead European Operations

JENSEN BEACH, Fla., Oct. 17, 2019 — Fresh off the heels of acquiring Apple Aviation and purchasing the former Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) wide-body aircraft hangar in Birmingham, England, STS Aviation Group (STS), a leading global aviation solutions company, announces that it has appointed Michael John Adams to oversee its European Operations.

Adams will immediately begin to manage Apple Aviation, the wide-body aircraft maintenance facility in Birmingham and all other existing STS entities in Europe.

STS Aviation Group Purchases Former MAEL Hangar in Birmingham

JENSEN BEACH, Fla., Oct. 16, 2019 — Two weeks after acquiring Apple AviationSTS Aviation Group (STS), a leading global aviation solutions company, finalizes the purchase of a wide-body aircraft maintenance facility in Birmingham, England.

The facility was formerly operated by Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) and put up for sale in March of 2019. It features 200,000 sq/ft of total space — including ramp — and has the capacity to service wide-body aircraft. In fact, the facility can house two wide-body aircraft or 10 narrowbody aircraft at the same time. In addition to its size, the complex is home to several on-site component repair and back shops; making it true nose-to-tail MRO service facility flush with vertical lift storage devices, a global reporting room and dozens of laptop mobility hubs.

Mark Smith, President of STS Aviation Group, said “The hangar is beautiful, and thanks to the recent acquisition of Apple Aviation, we have the resources and the manpower in place to have the facility up, running and fully operational by January of 2020 subject to the lease transfer being agreed to.”

From October 15 – 17, STS Aviation Group will be in London exhibiting at Booth #1925 during MRO Europe.

MRO Europe is the premier event of the EMEA region for commercial aviation’s maintenance, repair and overhaul industry. STS Aviation Group Acquires Apple Aviation

With this acquisition, STS continues its recent global expansion. The company will immediately begin to offer aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services to customers at a state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance facility located in Newquay, England. The facility houses more than 150,000 square feet of space; 40,000 of which is dedicated as a parts processing facility.
